The shop is at street level (no stairs) and can easily accommodate mobility aids.

I charge $225/hr and my minimum charge is $200.

What types of payment do you accept?

Cash is preferred, but I also accept Venmo and PayPal.  I do not accept cards.

Can I leave a tip?

Sure! Cash tips are always appreciated, but not expected. Common tipping etiquette is 20-25%.

How do I book an appointment with you?

I book just one month at a time for the following month. I start booking on the 15th of each month. If you need a weekend appointment I recommend reaching out on the 15th; those appointments tend to be claimed first! I use a booking form that can be found here

I require a $100 non-refundable deposit to secure an appointment time. You must be 18+ with a valid ID or passport to get tattooed.

What if I need to reschedule?

I allow one reschedule per deposit left. I require at least 48 hours notice for reschedules, or your deposit will be forfeit. The exception to this is if you are sick. If you are sick, please let me know as soon as you start feeling sick and we can reschedule. This will count as your one reschedule. ** Deposits made in November-January will not be eligible for rescheduling. You will need to make another deposit to reschedule your appointment in these months.

What if I am running late to my appointment?

Email me or call the shop (after 12pm) at (415) 815-6669 to let me know as soon as you know you’ll be running late. If you are more than 20 minutes late I may not be able to tattoo you and your deposit will be forfeit. If I don’t hear from you 15 minutes after our appointment time I will consider you a no-show. Your deposit will be forfeit and I may decline to reschedule you.

What else will forfeit my deposit?

Not showing up to your appointment, or showing up more than 15 minutes late without prior communication.

Last minute rescheduling (aside from sickness) or needing to reschedule more than one time.

If you change your idea less than 48 hours before your appointment.

If we are unable to schedule an appointment within 90 days of your deposit date.

Can I arrange an in-person consultation?

I prefer to do consultations via email. If I need to schedule a consultation (most often to look at existing work, scar coverups, etc) I will let you know.

Are your materials vegan?

Yes!

When can I see my design?

When you arrive for your appointment. I will always leave time to make small changes on the day of. If you change your idea or request changes that require a full re-draw I will likely reschedule you and ask for another deposit. For custom designs, please be very clear about what you like and don’t like don’t like so we can be sure to get on the same page. That saves us both time! I don’t send out drawings ahead of time.

Can I get a last minute appointment?

Possibly! I post about last minute openings on my Instagram stories.

What if my tattoo needs to be touched up?

I offer free touch ups on my work within the first year. IF your touch up is a result of negligence in aftercare I will know, and I will charge for the touch up. If you no show for your touch up, I will charge to book in again.

It’s my first tattoo! What should I do to plan?

Before your appointment: Be sure to eat a meal and drink plenty of water the day before and day of your appointment. Get plenty of rest and avoid alcohol, caffeine, and pain relievers before you come in. Bring a snack with you just in case you need a little extra energy and wear comfortable clothes that you’d be ok getting ink on (doesn’t always happen, but it can). If possible, gently exfoliate and apply lotion to the area in the week before you come in- this will help the process go extra smoothly and make for an even better heal. Keep an eye on your phone or email just in case I need to contact you about your appointment (sometimes I am running a few minutes late). We require masks for everyone at the shop.

After your appointment: In the 2 weeks after your appointment, plan to avoid sun exposure and soaking underwater. Don’t make plans right after your appointment. Sometimes I’m running late, or designs take longer than expected to complete. Tattoos last a long time, and you don’t want to worry about rushing off to your next destination after getting one.

How do I take care of my tattoo?

Check out my aftercare instructions here

Can I work out after getting tattooed?

It depends! I recommend avoiding exercise for a few days after getting tattooed. The area is an open wound, and gyms are not clean. At the very least you want to avoid direct contact with gym equipment and mats, and wash the area right after you finish working out. The answer to this question can depend on the location of your tattoo and the nature of your workouts. Have specific questions? Just ask!

What if I have sensory sensitivities or other needs?

I’d love to accommodate you any way I can! I like to know these things ahead of time so I can tune in to your needs and meet them. In the booking form there is a section just for things you’d like to share or that you’d like me to know about you. Prefer a quiet session? Want to wear headphones? Want to use numbing cream? Anxious and would like a walk-through of the process before you come in? You got it! Just let me know.

Can I bring a friend to my appointment?

I prefer no +1’s in the studio due to COVID and because another person can be a distraction. I want to be able to focus on you and your tattoo. If you need to bring a friend due to safety or medical needs, please let me know ahead of time! I want you to feel safe in the studio as well as on your way home. Your +1 will need to be 18+, wear a mask, and be able to quietly entertain themselves.

Will you tattoo my hands, face, or neck?

Possibly, if you already have a lot of tattoo coverage. If you don’t already have a lot of visible tattoos, I will ask about your lifestyle, job, etc. I’d hate for a tattoo to get in the way of future opportunities for you.

For face and neck tattoos I require proof of COVID vaccination and booster along with a negative test the day of.

What is in your UV inks?

Naturally fluorescent pigment. These inks are completely free of phosphorus (that would make them glow in the dark). Tattoo pigments are not currently regulated by the FDA. I buy all my inks from reputable companies and would never use pigment on you that I wouldn’t use on myself.
